Bungalows at the beach, Debki, Poland: Region

DEBKI - province: pomorskie, administrative district: pucki, parish: Krokowa. The beauty of the region and the nature that surrounds it made the town a tourist attraction. Every year lots of entertainments are organized here, among other things a windsurfing competition connected with the Championships of Poland, and folkloristic picnics. The best known attraction of Debki is a magnificent sandy beach, which stretches up to the horizon as well to the east as to the west. On the left from the estuary of the Piasnica river there is also a well known nude beach, where every year a beauty contest is arranged.

The National Seaside Landscape Park (Nadmorski Park Krajobrazowy) - comprises the zone of the seaside wood around Debki. The area of the Park and its surroundings are very attractive the whole year round. Extraordinary elements of fauna and flora, interesting ecosystems (from underwater meadows to sand-drifts and cliffs), relics of the past, the signs of Kashubian culture, and tourist routes are only a few elements that attract tourists and holiday-makers.

The Sanctuary The Meadows of Piasnica and Widowo - on of the most interesting at the Polish seaside; among other things, it comprises the fragments of the sea-coast situated nearby the Piasnica's estuary, where one can observe dunes, peat bogs, and wet soil forests. Its stand of trees includes mainly pine-trees, birch-trees and oaks. In the brushwood and in the undergrowth: alder buckthorn, willow, juniper, wax-myrtle, a grass of the genus Deschampsia, iris, valerian and orchis.

The Plain of the Seaside Mud - stretches on the space of 40 kilometers parallelly to the sea-coast, comprising the terrains of the former see shallow. During the XVII and the XIX centuries these terrains were brought into cultivation as meadows.

The Piasnica river - a small river rising from the artificial reservoir in Zarnowiec. From Debki the Piasnica river begins creating charming windings with large quantity of fauna and flora. One can observe there: pond-weeds, water-thymes and fresh-water phylum of sponges, whose presence guarantees the best cleanness of water. There are also: roaches, perches, thunder-fish, bleaks, zanders, pikes, flatfish, and, in the bottom of the river, molluses and crayfish.
